How to read a Wine List
Whether it's taking a loved one out for a special meal, taking work colleagues out or entertaining clients, at some stage we all have to open the Wine List and chose what we're going tp drink with our meal.
The story is well told of the company executive who ordered a bottle of a particular Bordeaux Chateau to accompany the Beef Wellington he and his client had chosen. The waiter queried his choice - but no, he was insistant that was what he wanted. The opened bottle subsequently arrived at the table - of Ch Rieussec - a delicuios sweet dessert wine from Bordeaux!
In this evening we'll lookk at some different styles of wine lists taste three red and three white wines and give some broad tips as to what wines best accompany which foods.
Never be flummoxed by a Wine List again!
